Glass-fused-to-steel bolted process tanks offer several advantages over existing options including faster construction, factory-engineered glass coated panels and easy maintenance. Glass-fused-to-steel bolted tanks are built from the ground up meaning no cranes or skilled welders are required. Common weather delays that stainless steel tank construction might have can be avoided.
The Vitrium™ glass coating employed has the toughness to stand up to process tank conditions. This titanium dioxide formulation is designed to handle all the temperatures and pressures in all common processes. The strong panels can easily handle roof and equipment weights.
Glass-fused-to-steel process tanks have as smooth interior coating that is easy to maintain and is less porous than stainless steel. Studies show that porcelain (glass) enamel-on-steel surfaces have a consistency that provides maximum inhibition of bacterial growth.
